Mint aero chocolate cake

Random bake as the Z’s wanted pudding and I had nothing to offer them so rustled this up! 

I baked it in a square brownie tin ( so you may have to adjust quantities and timings for other size tins 😉)

10ozs marg

10 ozs sugar

5 eggs

1 teaspoon of peppermint extract

10 ozs of self raising flour 

2 tablespoons of cocoa powder 

Splash of milk

Aero mint chocolate ( balls or bars )

Pre heat oven to 150degress

Grease and line a baking tin

Cream the margarine and sugar together until light and fluffy

Add the peppermint extract and eggs and mix to combine

Add the flour and cocoa powder and fold gently

Add a splash of milk 

Pour this mixture into the cake tin and bake for 45mins until a skewer inserted into the middle comes out clean

Whilst still warm randomly push pieces of aero into the top of the cake ( the heat from the sponge will melt the aero and flavour the cake 

Once semi cool - melt some aero in a microwave and drizzle over the top and then sprinkle with crushed aero
