Blackberry Bakewell tart

We had masses of blackberries from picking them yesterday and the kids wanted to make something quick and easy .... this literally took 3 minutes to actually make and then 30 minutes to bake !I'd love to say we made the pastry, but we didn't ! 😂. Watch out for the new afternoon tea booklet that I'm about to launch as everything pastry related will be in that 😉

One shop bought pastry case ( 99p !) 

Some jam ( we used blackberry but you could use anything ) 

100grams softened butter 

100grams sugar

100grams ground almonds

1 egg

1 tablespoon of plain flour ( I only had whole meal in so used that 😂)

Blackberries to decorate 

Pre heat oven to 160degrees

Remove pastry case from packaging but leave in tin foil

Spread jam over the pastry

Mix all the other ingredients together and spread over the jam

Decorate with blackberries

Bake for 30 mins

Cool and then dust with icing Sugar
